What is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle complementary therapy that works with the body’s natural energy to support relaxation, balance, and overall wellbeing. It is based around the belief that energy flows through the body and can sometimes become blocked or disrupted through stress, emotional overwhelm, illness, or life experiences.
Within the body are seven main energy centres, known as Chakras, which run from the Root Chakra at the base of the spine to the Crown Chakra at the top of the head. These energy centres are believed to influence our emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. When energy becomes blocked or unbalanced, it can leave us feeling emotionally drained, mentally overwhelmed, physically tense, or disconnected from ourselves.
Reiki works by gently transferring healing energy through the practitioner’s hands to help restore balance, encourage deep relaxation, and support the body’s natural healing processes. Many people describe Reiki as a calming, comforting experience.

Considering your first Reiki session?
The most important thing I would want you to know is that you will be safe, supported, and never judged. Reiki is a very gentle and calming therapy that works at your own pace and is designed to create a sense of relaxation, balance, and emotional wellbeing.
Every person’s experience is different, and there is no pressure or expectation during a session. My approach is intuitive, supportive, and never rushed, with the focus always being on creating a calm and comfortable healing experience.
